Midwives in Northern Ireland vote to strike over pay rise exclusion

Four-hour stoppage this month will be first in the region’s 134-year history, with further action threatened

Midwives have voted to strike in Northern Ireland for the first time in their 134-year history.

The Royal College of Midwives said on Tuesday that its members in the region intend to stop working for four hours on 30 April.
